Again this year, we had the fortune of a company retreat, this time in Vail, Colorado. The added bonus is that Nonna and Pops joined us.

They were a perfect way to celebrate Rory's official birthday.

We enjoyed so many different warm-weather activities in this mountain getaway.

Rory and Aven had their first tennis lesson.

Even Aven landed a few great hits; she'll be acing them before we know it.

Rory the Daredevil climbed to the very top of the rock wall!

But the adrenaline highlight was the bungee trampoline ...

... which Rory mastered like the little gymnast that she is.

However, not to be outdone, Mommy took to the trampoline as well ...

... and showed her daughter some of that hidden grace.

And while Rory and Mommy were dueling it out on the trampoline, Aven got the best of both of them when she found a hunky boy who gave her a ride on his pony.

Traveling with kids is still an adventure in itself, but when was the last time that Sarah got to read a book (aka, iPad) on the plane with her daughters?

As is our annual traditional, Rory and Aven joined Tim's extended family for a week at Emerald Isle. 

Rory could hardly contain herself, doing cartwheels in the surf. 

Both girls enjoyed a lot of quality time with their Aunt Chelle ...

... And with each other. 

But, of course, one must take the occasional pause to enjoy the view with a Capri Sun.
