A Tour of the Nursery

These past two weekends, Sarah, Pippin, and I have spent time transforming our guest bedroom into a nursery for Pilaf. The walls are painted a pale lavender.




As you can see, Pippin likes to give tours of the nursery to guests. He's checking out the changing pad (a gift from Aunt Janet to Tim to ensure that he contributes to Pilaf smelling like a lady).



This is where Pilaf will sleep (we hope!).


And this is where Pilaf will learn to swing! (Please note, we are getting an early start on Pilaf's soccer career.)


And this is where Pilaf will be rocked to sleep.



And this is where Pilaf and Pippin will fight over "who's the most pampered baby in the house."




Pippin -- playing the part of the haughty prince -- knows who will win that contest.


One more shot of our spoiled cat. Jeez, is this any indication of what we'll be like as parents?

The Baby Shower

On June 4, Sarah had a baby shower while enjoying high tea at the Four Seasons. Family and friends were in attendance. And as you can see from this picture, our baby's college fund is off to a great start! Actually, Aunt Janet made it possible for Sarah to enjoy a manicure ... while she can still see her toes.
