Disney 2012, Part 4, Poses and Princesses

Rory and Aven are ready for their trip to DISNEY WORLD.

My ladies pose in front of Cinderella's castle.

Look at Aven's face. These kids are fans of the First Family of Mice.

Stitch! What?!

Disney 2012, Part 3, Animal Kingdom

On our second full day in Disney World, we ventured to the Animal Kingdom.

Given how much Aven loves animals, our first stop was the Animal Kingdom Safari.

Rory had a good time too looking for the flamingos, elephants, giraffes, and cheetahs.

Rory poses and ...

... her little sister spots a tiger! And it's sleeping. Boy ...

... that looks comfortable. Maybe I should take a nap like the tiger.

The Animal Kingdom is an homage to animals living and extinct. Here, the triceratops.

The highlight of the day was a production of the Lion King.

Rory -- out little gymnast -- was particular enamored with the monkey antics on the bars.

Aven enjoyed the show too ... until she peed in her pants. You've got to hand it to Disney. Only place on earth that you could change a child in the middle of a theater production.

And the sisters show off their necklaces featuring Disney pins.

But before the day is over, my ladies enjoy a drink on the house.

Disney 2012, Part 2, Magic Kingdom

Rory and Aven were the FIRST KIDS IN LINE to the Magic Kingdom. What a wonderful place to eat breakfast.

Disney 2012, Part 1

As has become our February tradition, we ventured to Florida to the land of the "Big Ears" and enjoyed four magical days at Disney World.

My ladies are becoming quite the travelers. Each of us carried our own backpack, sweater, water, and toys (note: Daddy's toy is the New York Times).

Rory and Aven awoke in their room at the Wilderness Lodge and immediately began a discussion of how they would spend their first full day in the Magic Kingdom.

"Let's build a fort Rory!" declared Aven. And, indeed, the sisters built a fort.
