The Blog Takes a Time Out
- We moved to our new home in February, and we are finally feeling settled. Rory loves the backyard. Sarah loves her eggplant-colored bedroom. And Tim loves his new wide-screen television. Seriously, we made a great decision.
- Tim is also feeling settled in his new job at the Advisory Board, where he is learning the ins and outs of the company's technology division (yes, the irony is that I have not posted to the blog since joining a tech organization).
- Sarah's pregancy is going well, although she is feeling very tired and increasingly achy. She is doing great things at work; next week, she'll be making her first live presentation at one of our national conferences (yes, 8 months pregant).
- Rory has moved into the Three Year Old room at daycare. She is showcasing talents galore ... counting to 25, reciting the ABCs, singing at the top of her lungs, solid debating skills, improvisational dance, you name it. We love it. It's show time every night.
Rory is very excited about the coming arrival of her little sister. When we talk about our family, Rory now includes her baby sister in the mix. Daddy: "This weekend, we're all going to the Cherry Blossom parade." Rory: "Yes! Good idea Daddy! Rory goes. Daddy goes. Mommy goes. And my baby sister goes!"
Tim will be taking a paternity leave after the baby arrives. He'll use some of that time to post a backlog of pictures. And, of course, photos of the newest member of the family.
Cheers!
